Title: Gravitational waves as a complementary window into Grand Unification and Leptogenesis

Abstract:
In the first part of this talk, I will demonstrate the non-trivial complementarity between the observation of proton decay and gravitational waves produced from cosmic strings in determining SO(10) GUT breaking chains. In the second part half of the talk, I will explore the non-trivial interplay between the black hole induced and thermal leptogenesis, demonstrating that for right-handed neutrino masses M > 10^12 GeV primordial black holes can open the leptogenesis parameter space while for smaller masses, black holes, in fact, deplete the baryon-to-photon ratio because of the entropy dumps induced by the evaporation process.
