Title: Floating Dark Matter in Celestial Bodies
Abstract:
Dark matter can be captured in stars and planets after scattering and losing sufficient energy to become gravitationally bound. I will discuss a new framework to describe what happens when dark matter is captured by these objects, and new resulting dark matter distributions. I will discuss a range of existing searches for dark matter in celestial objects, and the implications of the new dark matter distributions.
