Title: String Theory and the First Half of the Universe
Abstract: In the standard cosmology, the universe is radiation dominated from shortly after the end of inflation. String cosmologies motivate substantial modifications from this paradigm, including long epochs of kination, trackers and moduli domination which can last until just before BBN. I describe these cosmologies, the physics associated to them, their embedding into the Large Volume Scenario and applications to particle physics.
