Title:  Solitons and Primordial black holes from a cosmic phase transition

Abstract:
Solitons generally exist in physical systems at different scales. This talk will first briefly introduce various solitons forming from cosmological phase transitions, including topological defects and non-topological solitons. Then I will focus on the fermion field non-topological solitons, discussing their formation during a first-order phase transition (FOPT). After that, I will discuss the connection between solitons and primordial black holes (PBHs), showing that the fermion solitons can collapse into PBHs, providing a novel mechanism for PBH production from a FOPT.
