Cold Atoms and Climate Change (Inter-disciplinary Workshop on Environmental Applications of Quantum Sensors)

Europe/London
King's College London

King's College London

S7.06 Strand Building (7th Floor) Strand Campus
Description

This workshop will bring together cold atom physicists and experts on quantum sensors, from King’s and elsewhere, with representatives from multiple different organisations and agencies to establish a dialogue on cold atom physics and its applications, alongside environmental scientists working on climate change. The workshop will aim to establish an interdisciplinary collaboration between King’s researchers and other institutions to encourage potential participation in future international research programmes including space missions using quantum sensors to monitor the environment and physical symptoms of climate change.
